This distinction between the two kinds of objects is a central one in Kantian ethics. WebWe can call the system of axioms and postulates in ethics meta-ethics (and refer to its 14 axioms and postulates as axioms and postulates) because, as demonstrated in the Introduction, all the objects, contents, and propositions of ethics can be derived from the “deductive postulate of the excellent moral norm.”
